What we hold
We hold the name and phone number the user entered, your emergency-contact role and vehicle association, and security records if the emergency contact flow is used.
How it is used
We use it to let a signed-in scanner reach a trusted person when the vehicle owner or driver does not respond, and to protect the service from misuse. It is not used for marketing and MyQRContact is not an emergency service.
Our legal basis
Where UK GDPR applies, Platehaus relies on legitimate interests in providing the requested vehicle-safety contact feature, keeping it secure, and handling legal claims. You may object based on your circumstances.
Who may receive it
A signed-in person who deliberately selects the emergency flow may be shown the contact route. Our hosting, database, communications, security, and support providers process limited data for us. We may disclose data where law requires it.
How long and where
The details remain while the vehicle dashboard is active or until they are changed or deleted, subject to limited backups and legal or security retention. Providers may process data outside your country; our full policy explains the safeguards.
Your choices and rights
Ask us to confirm what we hold, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, or consider an objection. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner if UK GDPR applies, or to Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Commissioner where applicable.
