Series Overview
ASEAN XV is an ASEAN event series in which the Roman numeral gives the event's number, 15th, following the same convention as XI ASEAN, XXVI ASEAN and XXVII ASEAN, whose numerals are the numbers of the summits they marked. Which 15th ASEAN meeting it marks has not been documented. It is not the 15th ASEAN Summit, which Thailand hosted in 2009, and ASEAN's 2015 meeting calendar shows no 15th-edition ASEAN meeting in Malaysia that year.
Chinese Wikipedia dates the plates to 2015, during Malaysia's ASEAN chairmanship, and links them to the ASEAN foreign ministers' meetings held in Kuala Lumpur that August. Numbers such as ASEAN XV 30 and ASEAN XV 61 have since been offered for resale. The allocation was not published.
