A model-specific plate for the Proton Chancellor (long-wheelbase Waja) launched in 2006. Proton offered CHANCELLOR 1-2000 to new buyers and dignitaries to promote the model. Many early Chancellor cars, especially government VIP units, bore these plates. For example, CHANCELLOR 77 and CHANCELLOR 101 were spotted on Proton Chancellors in KL. With only 2,000 numbers, unsold ones were quietly phased out as the model ended production. Surviving CHANCELLOR plates are mostly on the few Chancellors still in service – a nostalgic nod to Proton’s executive sedan era.
