Series Overview

FB is Putrajaya's 2018 sequence. It was opened for tender in April 2018, with then deputy transport minister Datuk Ab Aziz Kaprawi saying the new series was released because demand for Putrajaya numbers was high. Numbers began issuing on 16 May 2018 and the block was used up by 25 June 2018.

The tender results, released in May 2018, were led by FB 1 at RM660,000, won by the company Soon 123 Transport. The price reflected more than a low number: FB 1 reads like FBI, the American Federal Bureau of Investigation. The next highest bids were FB 5 at RM152,800, FB 8 at RM141,777, FB 11 at RM110,000 and FB 3 at RM108,130.

Unsold FB numbers were later cleared through JPJ's MySIKAP portal from 8 April 2025, together with leftovers from FC, FD, FE and the MALAYSIA series.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did FB 1 sell for RM660,000?

Besides being the lowest number, FB 1 reads like FBI. It drew RM660,000 in the 2018 tender, more than four times the next highest FB bid.

Can I still buy an FB number?

JPJ offered the remaining FB numbers on its MySIKAP portal from 8 April 2025 on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability depends on what is left.
