Triple-“F” special series introduced on 1 June 2024 to mark JPJ’s 78th anniversary. Since Putrajaya’s regular ‘F’ series began in 2016, “FFF” was a vanity run beyond the normal sequence. Bidding for FFF 1-9999 took place 11–15 May 2024, with strong public interest. The series paid homage to JPJ’s founding year (77th and 78th anniversaries saw FF and FFF respectively). Many saw “FFF” as an extension of the earlier “FF” hype – indeed, FFF plates were all sold via eBid. Highlights included royal and VIP participation: the Yang di-Pertuan Agong won DDD 2 earlier, and similar attention was on FFF single digits. Revenue was significant, though exact figures weren’t immediately public. All 9,999 FFF numbers are now allocated; any unsold at auction were later offered on JPJ’s system. These plates, being triple-letter, are visually striking and celebrate JPJ’s legacy. As a one-off, FFF joins the ranks of AAA, BBB, CCC, etc., as part of Malaysia’s vanity plate history.
