Series Overview
GG stands for Great Generation. Yayasan Modal Insan Harta (YMIH) launched the series on 1 February 2018, offering GG 1 to GG 9999 for bidding ahead of Chinese New Year, with registration at JPJ Wangsa Maju once the foundation certified a successful bid. Many buyers also read the letters as the gaming shorthand for good game.
YMIH followed GG with the XX series two months later. Like other organisation-issued series, unregistered GG numbers lapsed when JPJ ended such sales on 31 December 2019.
