Series Overview
M_M is the special series the Transport Ministry released for Malaysia's 66th National Day in 2023. The two Ms stand for Malaysia Merdeka, and the number sits between them, from M1M to M9999M. It was the first JPJ series to use this framed layout, which returned with A_A in 2025 and P_P in 2026.
Bidding ran on JPJeBid from Merdeka Day, 31 August, until 10pm on 4 September 2023. Minimum bids started at RM20,000 for golden numbers, RM3,000 for attractive numbers, RM800 for popular numbers and RM300 for running numbers.
The series collected RM20,091,070 from 25,033 bidders, with 6,872 numbers won. M1M led at RM622,000, followed by M5M at RM500,000, M8M at RM450,000, M9M at RM402,004 and M6M at RM350,000. The most sought-after number was M101M. Unsold M_M numbers were cleared through JPJ's MySIKAP portal in June 2025.
