Series Overview
PETRA is the special series named after the acronym of the Kementerian Peralihan Tenaga dan Transformasi Air, the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, which was set up in December 2023. It was announced at the Program Madani Rakyat 2024 Sarawakku Sayang event in Miri in September 2024.
Bidding ran on JPJeBid until 10pm on 3 October 2024, with the standard minimum bids: RM20,000 for golden numbers (in RM1,000 steps), RM5,000 for premium, RM2,500 for attractive, RM500 for popular and RM300 for running numbers.
JPJ did not publish a separate result for PETRA; its revenue is included in the RM45.9 million raised by the 2024 special series. Unsold PETRA numbers were cleared through JPJ's MySIKAP portal in June 2025.
