Series Overview
Q is the single-letter series introduced by the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS). Because Q is Sarawak's registration letter, the series carries a strong state identity: an ordinary Sarawak plate always has at least one more letter (QA, QK, QS and so on), while this series is Q alone.
Bidding for Q 1 to Q 9999 ran from 8 to 21 March 2018, with results in April and unsold numbers offered for direct purchase afterwards. FAS later issued QQ. Like other organisation-issued series, unregistered Q numbers lapsed when JPJ ended such sales on 31 December 2019.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a Q plate a Sarawak registration?
It uses Sarawak's letter, but Q on its own is a special series issued by the Football Association of Sarawak. Ordinary Sarawak registrations always have a second letter, such as QA or QS.
When were Q plates sold?
Bidding ran from 8 to 21 March 2018, and leftover numbers were then sold directly.
