Series Overview

G is the Lee Chong Wei Foundation plate series, approved by JPJ and offered in 2017.

The single letter carries a strong sporting idea. G reads as gold, the medal Malaysia had chased for decades in badminton and at the Olympics, and the series was publicly associated with Datuk Lee Chong Wei at a time when his national-sport status was unmatched.

Public reporting described the run as G 1 to G 9999, with bidding open until 29 September 2017 and results scheduled for October. The appointed agent, Yakin Emas Sdn Bhd, framed proceeds around support for sports associations and promising athletes, with the larger dream of helping Malaysia pursue its first Olympic gold at Tokyo 2020.
